KARACHI: A Sub Inspector (SI) of Sindh Police Muhammad Yar was shot dead by unknown motorcyclists near Northern Bypass on Thursday night. The incident took place when the cop was on his way back to home from duty at Gulshan-e Maymar Police Station, in the meantime two men on a bike came and opened multiple fires and fled the scene leaving Muhammad Yar in a pool of blood, police said.
The victim was moved to hospital but succumbed to his injuries due to massive bleeding. Meanwhile, IG Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Mehr has sought report of the incident from SSP Malir.
