US MIDDAY: sugar, coffee and cocoa up

Raw sugar futures on ICE edged up early on Wednesday, aided by a soft dollar and firmer oil prices, although the market still held around Monday's 7-1/2-month low. A European broker, in a daily market report, noted rising concerns over drought in China's sugar-producing belt in Guangxi.
Dealers also talked of the possibility of Central American physical sugar exports to the United States despite high duties. ICE May raw sugar up 0.11 cent or 0.6 percent at 18.35 cents a lb at 0900 GMT. ICE May arabica coffee up 0.1 cent or 0.1 percent at $1.3285 per lb. May cocoa on ICE up $12 or 0.4 percent at $2,860 a tonne.
