imageKARACHI: The Namaz-e-Janaza of the Governor Sindh, Justice (Retd) Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, who passed away at the age of 78 on Wednesday due to illness, will be offered on Friday after Juma prayers.

According to media reports, a spokesman of the Sindh Governor House said that the `Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered at Polo Ground, after the Friday prayers.

Governor Sindh was under treatment at a local hospital for last four days due to a chest infection and breathing problems.

The 31st governor of Sindh had taken oath on November 11, 2016 replacing Dr Ishratul Ebad. However, Siddqui was admitted to hospital on the same day.

He got discharged from the hospital on December 15 after intensive care unit (ICU) was set up in the Governor House.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Governor Sindh He directed chief secretary Rizwan Memon to coordinate with the family of late Governor and his principal secretary for making official arrangements of his burial.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain have expressed condolence over the death of the governor.
