Minister for Youth Affairs Sumaira Malik told the National Assembly on Thursday that President's Rozgar Scheme with Rs 12 million would be launched soon to provide jobs to unemployed youth.
Replying to a question by Nafisa Munawar Raja during question hour, she said that on the instructions of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz the Youth Ministry has formulated Youth Policy, which will be implemented after cabinet approval in its next meeting.
She said the ministry will set up youth centres at the district level to provide healthy recreational facilities. To a supplementary question she said that National Volunteer Movement (NVM) has its separate budget and has 6,000 registered volunteers who have performed duties in the quake-affected areas.
