imagePakistan Test Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq expressed that sports must be separated from politics and added that he aims for a cricket series between Pakistan and India.

According to Dawn report, "Pakistan is always ready to play against India but what can we do if they do not want to play. If India can play against Pakistan in ICC events then why not in bilateral series?" Misbah questioned.

He added that sports, especially cricket can bring the people of India and Pakistan together.

Misbah also praised the current performance of the Pakistan team in T20 series against World T20 champions. "After beating England in the last one-day international, the team is doing really well," he said.

“The team must focus to perform well in every game now,” the 42- year-old said.

However he believed that the West Indies is not a weak side and said they can bounce back in the ODIs and in the Test format.

Pakistan will play three ODIs against the West Indies on Sept 30 and Oct 2 in Sharjah, and Oct 5 in Abu Dhabi.
