Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) management would safeguard the interests of its employees in the privatisation process. This was stated by Senior Executive Vice President (Human Resource), Shahzad Sadan, while talking to the newsmen at PTCL Headquarters on Friday. He said that some elements were creating the impression that privatisation of PTCL would be harmful for its employees, "which is quite wrong". The company employees should forge unity among their ranks and should not pay heed to the voice of such elements, he said. Shahzad said the company management is working on different proposals for the betterment of its employees. These proposals are under consideration with the management and office-bearers of different unions.
The company faces different challenges in post-deregulation scenario, he said, adding that the new management of the company adopted measures to cater the need of new era.
The company is focusing not only on restoring confidence of its customers but also on retaining the existing customer database, he added.
SEVP (Operations) Ahmed, SEVP (Corporate Affairs) Mashkoor Hussain, EVP (Operations) South Rehmatullah and others were also present on the occasion.
