imageEngland's Chris Woakes challenges to Pakistan in the upcoming ODI series and says that the current ranking of Pakistan team in ODIs is not a fair reflection of how good they are in the shorter formats of the game.

Pakistan have just gone top of the ICC Test rankings and while writing in his column for Sky Sports, Chris Woakes said, who was the highest wicket taker in the recently concluded Test series, is hopeful that the English side can put in a good performance in the ODI series as well.

“If we perform to our best and put in some really strong performances then hopefully we will come out on top. We know that it is going to be hard work and their ranking at the moment doesn’t show just how good they actually are in one-day cricket. They always provide a tough challenge and we’ve got to stand up to that.”

However, Pakistan’s ODI Captain Azhar Ali is confident and wants to see the team take the form that had made them the world s number one-ranked Test side into their one-day series against England.

Pakistan will face the English team on their home ground in the upcoming five-match ODI series, starting from today at Southampton.
