The Sir Ganga Ram's great granddaughter Ms Dita has highly appreciated the standard of medical facilities available at Ganga Ram Hospital for the ailing humanity.
She made this observation during her visit to various blocks of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Fatima Jinnah Medical College here on Thursday.
Accompanied by her husband, Ms Dita met the hospital administration and senior faculty members.
FJMC/SGH Principal Professor Dr Akbar Chaudhry briefed Ms Dita about various facilities being extended to patients at the hospital. She also visited various sites of the hospital where nameplates of her elders have been erected. She also visited the under construction Fatima Jinnah Block.
Ms Dita told Professor Akbar Chaudhry that she was delighted to see that the hospital established by her grandfather is being expanded.
She also acknowledged that free medical services are available at emergency ward of the hospital.
She also informed Professor Akbar Chaudhry that Ganga Ram Hospital is also being run in Delhi by a trust where state-of-the-art facilities are available. She invited Professor Akbar and his five Senior Professors to attend Founder's Day celebrations of the Ganga Ram Hospital to be held at Delhi from April 13 to 15.
She also invited Professor Akbar to initiate collaborative projects with Ganga Ram Trust Hospital Delhi.
Professor Akbar Chaudhry told Business Recorder here on Thursday that first phase of the Fatima Jinnah Block is likely to be completed by April 30 this year, while work on new emergency block of the hospital will be started in the first week of April.
He stated that present administration is paying full attention on patients care while free medicines have been ensured in emergency ward of the hospital in pursuance of directions of Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi who is showing special interest to provide modern healthcare facilities to the ailing humanity.
He stated that efforts are underway to make Ganga Ram Hospital as one of the best medical institution of the country. With the completion of various ongoing projects, there would be significant improvement in all departments of the hospitals, he said.
