The number of comic book-based movies and TV shows hitting screens in the past couple years is overwhelming. Just thinking about the dozens yet to come can make anyone’s head spin. In our head, we have now entered the world of superhumans who will fight the evil and save the country.
After Warner Bros ‘Batman vs. Superman; Dawn of Justice’, another superhero flick ‘Captain America; Civil War’ is all set to hit the theatres over this weekend.
But wait! Before you book you seat for the Marvel’s highly anticipated movie, read some of the facts you need to know about the movie.
What they are fighting for?
The amount of destruction left in the wake of the three battles of New York, Washington D.C., and Sokovia has convinced the American politicians that oversight is required and the vigilantes need to be reined in. The Superhuman Registration Act mandated that all heroes register with the US government and operate under its rules and regulations.
While some agreed to the registration, others fight for their freedom.
Who’s fighting whom?
‘The Avengers’ excluding Thor and Hulk are now divided into two groups. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Vision (Paul Bettany) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland) are in favor of American government believing regulation is a good thing while Captain America (Chris Evans), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) will fight for their freedom.
Friends turn enemy is the theme of the movie.

More Avengers 3 than a Captain America sequel, directors Anthony and Joe Russo manage to keep superheroes snappy and smart in the film while ensuring a fast-paced, emotion-driven summer firework.
Civil War is so crackling because it is intimate. Instead of flabby action scenes a la Age of Ultron, set pieces in Civil War – just like the stakes – are personal. Downey Jr tones down his hyper-verbal shtick, Chris Evans makes Captain America’s reasons compelling and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow is more about dialogues than smoldering looks.
The new entrants Spider Man and Black Panther are the key highlight of the movie. If you’ve been following the Marvel movies over the past few years you don’t need the plot to be explained to you.
