West Indian cricketer star Chris Gayle has welcomed the arrival of his first daughter, and took to social media to announce he has named her ‘Blush’.
Gayle says he has named his first daughter Blush, months after the "Don't blush baby" comment that landed him in hot water.
He took to his official Instagram account to express happiness by posting a picture with his partner and welcoming his baby daughter.
The West Indies superstar found himself in hot water for controversial comments towards Channel 10’s Mel McLaughlin last summer.
The name "Blush" would remind everyone of Gayle's comical interview Mel McLaughlin in Australia's Big Bash League. Last summer Gayle was fined $10,000 for an outrageous sideline interview with McLaughlin after his innings for the Melbourne Renegades against the Hobart Hurricanes.
Chris Gayle took a few days off from his IPL commitments as he flew back for the birth of his first child. Royal Challengers Bangalore, however, seemed to miss Gayle's services as they lost against the Mumbai Indians on Wednesday.
