image‘Lesedi La Rona’ is the new name for the world second largest diamond, and its owners are looking to find buyers for it.

The diamond name means ‘Our Light’ in Setswana, the national language of Botswana, the country where the 1,111 carat precious stone was found in November.

According to CNN, Lucara Diamod Corporation, the Canadian owner of the diamond, called it the biggest found diamond in more than 100 years, whose discovery shoot up the company's shares.

The price of the diamond has not been set yet. That's because it is so large, just smaller than tennis ball that it does not fit into conventional scanners i.e.used to evaluate a stone's potential worth.

According to Bloomberg, Lucara is planning a road show to find the diamond buyers and is hopeful to find a suitable prospect by the middle of the year, Chief Executive Officer Lucara, William Lamb said. The company received one email offering $40 million, while some analysts have estimated it to be worth about $66 million, said Lamb.

The largest diamond ever found was the 3,106-carat Cullinan gem, unearthed in South Africa in 1905. The diamond was cut into pieces, which are set in the Britain’s Crown Jewels.
