HYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court here Tuesday ordered the Hyderabad police to either produce a missing person in the court at the next hearing or at least give correct details about his whereabouts.
The Hyderabad Circuit Bench expressed dismay after hearing verbal reply of the SSP Hyderabad Irfan Baloch observing that the police had taken too long time in searching the missing man.
The SSP informed the court that a committee comprising the CIA Incharge, DSPs of Maret and Baldia subdivisions and SHOs of City, Market and Sakhi Pir police stations had been constituted to investigate the case.
The petitioner Muhammad Umar had informed the court that his 33 years old son Mohammad Irfan Khilji was whisked away in October 2015 from Koh-i-Noor market in the limits of City police station.
The petitioner complained in the court that the police were procrastinating in investigation of the case.
The bench of Justice Nadeem Akhtar and Justice Khadim Hussain M Shaikh fixed the next hearing on Feb 17.
