Pakistan’s batsman Umar Akmal says he was too much frustrated after selectors dropped him from One Day International (ODI).
According to local media reports, Umar Akmal said, “When they dropped me from the Pakistan ODI squad I was very upset and emotional and was thinking about announcing my retirement from international cricket,”
“It was my dream to play against Zimbabwe in Pakistan but unfortunately I wasn’t selected and felt like quitting” and he said that he withdrew from his decision after seniors insisted to take back the decision, while giving an interview to Pakistani media. “I am working hard to make a comeback to Test cricket,” added Umar.
Akmal further said Pak-Indo series should happen as both countries will gain a lot of things and most importantly both countries fans want to see this series. Akmal has represented Pakistan in 16 Tests, 111 ODIs and 63 T20 internationals.
