Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and actress Aditi Rao Hydari is under radar for showing disrespect towards the National heroes of India.
On August 15, when every Indian, including the Bollywood celebrities were busy posting #SaluteSelfies, even Shahid Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari decided to do the same. Sadly in their enthusiasm, the duo forgot how to salute and posted a selfie by saluting with left hand. This brought massive criticism from all over India.
Both Shahid and Aditi posted their #SaluteSelfie on Independence Day when it was trending on top on micro-blogging site Twitter on August 15. #SaluteSelfie was an initiative by Reliance Group to pay tribute to Indian Army on Independence Day. More than 10,000 #SaluteSelfies were posted on social networking sites.
While posting his selfie, Shahid wrote, “#SaluteSelfie acknowledging the selfless, brave heroes #IndianArmy”.
Aditi Rao Hydari posted, “Thank you for every single day that you selflessly risk your life for our peace and happiness #SaluteSelfie”.
However, both the actors have been facing criticisms for saluting with the left hand. One of the tweets says, “Shasha you never salute with your left hand”.
Another tweet says, “Not with the left hand darling. It’s an insult”.
