SWAT: The long absence of the representatives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have infuriated people of Swat to use social media as a source to remind them of the pledges they had made during 2013 elections.
The area people have launched an interesting campaign over social media, especially FaceBook to find out the whereabouts of the PTI elected members who have not visited their constituencies, even once, after their election.
They alleged that the elected members did not turn up to their respective constituencies, who had promised to bring visible change in their lives during general election campaign.
Rafiullah Khan, a lecturer talking to APP complained that, "The MNA Saleem was missing after general election and despite tiring efforts the people of his constituency failed to contact him."
Muhibullah, a resident of upper Swat said, "It was very unfortunate that despite 8 MPAs and 4 MNAs in Swat district not a single worth mentioning project was launched in the area".
Wasim Haider, a social activist said, "Eleven Swatian representatives can't bring even a single development scheme to the valley".
Neelam Ibrar Chattan, a female social activist also expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of lawmakers from the valley, especially Murad Saeed, terming it a "non-political attitude."
The local people of cross sections of the society on social media has termed the long absence of these PTI representatives as "mysterious".
There are currently four MNAs from Swat district where PTI's candidates Murad Saeed wa selected from NA-29, Saleem-ur-Rehman NA-30 and Musarat Ahmed Zeb on general seat. Ayesha Saeed was elected on general seat on the Jamaat-e-Islami ticket.
