ISLAMABAD: Former President and Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari Friday condoled the death of Shaikh Atiq Ahmed who passed away in the early hours of Friday in Lahore.
In a condolence message issued here by PPP Media Office, he said that he was shocked and grieved by the news of death of Shaikh Atiq Ahmed saying that Atiq will be remembered by PPP leaders and workers alike for a long time for his sacrifices for the party and democratic struggle.
Zardari prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength and fortitude to family and friends to bear this irreparable loss.
