imageKARACHI: Doctors, medical teachers, students and other staff of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) joined the nation in its grief regarding Peshawar tragedy and arranged a condolence meeting cum Dua for the victims.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Masood Hameed Khan and senior faculty members of the University including Prof. Junaid Ashraf, Prof. Salahuddin Afsar and Prof. Naheed Sultan said the brutal killing of school children was one the worst terrorism related incident in the world.

Terming December 16 as the darkest day in the history of Pakistan, they said no human can think of this kind of blooded massacre of children and youth.

Paying tribute to the innocent martyrs, that also included some of the most dedicated teachers, instructors and staffers of the school, they said nation has to be well prepared to ensure that the incident is never repeated.

They also asked law enforcement agencies demanding indiscriminate action against the perpetrators of the crime.

Prof. Masood Hameed Khan said country and nation was passing through a very difficult phase and unity was required at every level.

Students of the university also expressed their views on the occasion.

Participants of the Meeting offered fateha and prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls and solace to the bereaved families.
