Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships arrived at Port Qasim on Friday, July 22, two ships carrying containers at QICT and Palm oil at LCT.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 42 percent at the port on Friday where a total of six ships namely M.V Wales-II, M.V Glory, M.V Saudi Abah, M.V MSC Magali, M.T Pacific Energy, M.T Theresa Gemini are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, containers, palm oil, and furnace oil during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operation were carried out smoothly at the port where a cargo volume 74766 tonnes, comprising 73223 tonnes imports and 1543 tonnes exports, containers (TEUs) 4259 was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

M.V Glory sailed on Saturday morning.

M.T Al-Salam-II at FOTCO M.V Nelson at MW-03, M.T Pramest at EVTL re expected to take berth on Saturday, July 23.
