Pakistani stand-up comedian Saad Haroon has secured the second position in the first ever contest of World Funniest Person organized by the world famous Laugh Factory in United States.
The Pakistani star maintained his position in the Top 3 in all four rounds of the competition and finally managed to finish it up as first runner up.
Saad Haroon was the first runner up with 59,213 votes in the World competition won by stand-up comic from Finland, Ismo Leikola with158, 945 votes. The comedian was among five artists who had made it to the final of the event. French artist Mustapha El Atrassi came in third with 22,658 votes.
According to media reports, “Saad Haroon is also credit with creating Pakistan’s first English language comedy show on television by the name of ‘The Real News’. The show was a mix of Political and Social satire and was one of the first comedy shows in Pakistan to be shot in front of a live studio audience”.
Saad Haroon has shown his gratitude and love for all those who voted, supported and encouraged him to make this nation proud.
