After Pakistan’s highest grossing movie ‘Waar’, Shaan came up with another movie ‘Operation 021’ which looked quite promising with its teaser but failed to impress the audience when hits theatres over this weekend.
According to local media reports, the much anticipated Shaan starrer, which released on Eid-ul-Azha was interrupted by the audience throwing bottles at the screen in Bambino. Bambino had two shows scheduled on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha. However, when the management saw the response of the audience at the 12pm show, which damaged the cinema screen as well, they decided not to run the second screening at 8pm. Capri also faced the same crisis.
While, on the other hand Atrium and Nueplex cinemas had a large crowd gathered for the latest Pakistani release. ‘Waar’ has set a different level for the Pakistani film industry which might become a reason that ‘Operation 021’ didn’t create much impact on Pakistani audience.
Audience shared their disappointment from the movie on Twitter and said, “‘Na Maloom Afraad’ stole ‘Operation 021’ thunder. May our public get to see the good locally made films, Way to go!”. Another furious viewer tweeted, “Shaan had it coming. It’s good that people have taught this guy a good lesson. Fail movie ‘Operation 021’”.
