imageKARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the provincial advocate general to immediately develop relevant rules and regulation prerequisite for implementation of recommendations proposed by the Thar Coal Energy (TCE) Board's sub committee.

Chairing a meeting here on Thursday to discuss rules and regulations of Thar Coal and Energy Board, he said several countries and investment companies are taking deep interest in relevant power generation schemes.

"We also are extending them series of special amenities and required facilities, however, it is extremely important to formulate rules and regulations to streamline these projects," said the chief minister.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed the Advocate General to ensure that rules and regulations are formulated in coordination with all relevant stakeholders so that no problem is faced.

He reiterated that these power generation plants are crucial to pull country out of the current power crisis.

The meeting among others was also attended by Sindh Minister for Finance and Energy, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Secretary for Energy, Wasif Abbas, Law Secretary, Mir Mohammad Shaikh and Advocate General, Fatah Malik.
