imageISLAMABAD: PPP Senator Maula Bakhash Chandio said that the joint session of Parliament had successfully conveyed a message to the international community that the entire Pakistani nation reposed confidence in the parliamentary form of government.

Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that Parliament had delegated full authority to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to deal with the prevailing political crisis and use any option.

He said that now it was up to the government how to deal with the protestors.

He said that every political party had right to lodge protest but protest should not violate fundamental rights of the citizens.

He said that people considered protest demonstrations by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) as untimely in view of the situation arisen out of flash flood.

Analyst Rauf Tahir also said that Joint session of the parliament was historic in which all political parties supported the democracy and supremacy of the parliament and constitution.

He said Prime Minister's speech was very impressive in which he explained the performance of the government and the role of obstructionists including those present in sit-ins.

The agenda of Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri may start civil war in Pakistan as government has already accepted all their constitutional demands, he added.

He said the patience of government against these sit-ins is praise-worthy.
