imageHAMILTON: India won the toss and decided to bowl first in the second one-day international against New Zealand in Hamilton on Wednesday.

It was a decision that pleased New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum with Seddon Park historically a bat-first wicket.

"We are happy with that," McCullum said after losing the toss and being told to pad up.

"It seems to be a decent batting surface first up and hopefully it will slow up later in the day."

New Zealand last played in Hamilton two weeks ago when the West Indies batted first and amassed 363-6 before rolling New Zealand for 160 in under 30 overs.

New Zealand made one change to their side which won the first ODI against India in Napier on Sunday by 24 runs with Kyle Mills coming in for the injured Adam Milne. India kept the same line up.

A possibility of rain late in the day may bring the Duckworth-Lewis system into play to adjust the scoring for a shortened game.

Teams:

New Zealand: Martin Guptill, Jesse Ryder, Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum (captain), Corey Anderson, Luke Ronchi, Nathan McCullum, Tim Southee, Kyle Mills Mitchell McClenaghan.

India: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, MS Dhoni (captain), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami.
