ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs, Syed Khurshid Shah has said that assemblies would be dissolved on March 16 and the general elections would be held in May.

Talking to a private news channel, Khurshid Shah said the government was taking decisions according to the wishes of people.

He asked the Muttahida Qaumi Movement to propose names for the caretaker setup.

Referring to the issue of new provinces, the Religious Minister said the people of southern Punjab would realise that who were supporting them and who were opposing the move for a new federating unit.
