pak romania 400RAWALPINDI: Pakistan and Romania on Thursday signed an agreement on defence cooperation to help boost in field of training, exports, imports of defence equipment and high level engagements.

 

Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan, Emilian Ion, signed the agreement with Federal Defence Minister, Syed Naveed Qamar here at the Ministry of Defence.

 

Secretary Defence Lt Gen (R) Asif Yasin Malik was also present on the occasion.

 

It may be mentioned here that Pakistan has maintained friendly relations with Romania.

 

A number of visits between the two countries at different levels have been undertaken in the field of defence.

 

Pakistan values its traditionally strong bilateral relations with Romania, based on mutual respect and similarity of views on various regional and international issues.

 

The signing of the Agreement on Defence Cooperation will help boost cooperation in the area of Defence relating to training, exports/imports of Defence equipment and high level engagements/visits.
