MQM sets up Election Cell

MQM Flag 400KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has set up Central Election Cell in Khurshid Begum Secretariat Azizabad.

 

The Election Cell was inaugurated on Wednesday by MQM Coordination Committee's Deputy Convener Anis Qaimkhani, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Dr Nusrat, said an MQM press release issued here on Wednesday.

 

Haq Parast provincial ministers, members Senate, National Assembly and provincial assembly, as well as members of various wings of the party attended in a large number the inauguration ceremony.

 

Four cells have been set up for Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the central cell.

 

Besides an Information Cell has been established where information is available about election process, particulars of candidates and the number of voters in the constituencies of the National Assembly and provincial assemblies.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Anis Qaimkhani said 2013 is the year of elections and the MQM will field candidates from all over the country and win the elections with an overwhelming majority.

 

He said the day is not far away when the philosophy of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain will reach every nook and corner of the country and the poor and middle class people will come to power.
