Hot and Humid weather is likely to continue in Karachi during the next 48 hours, with temperature ranging up to 36 degrees Celsius, the Met Office said on Saturday. Humidity in the city is likely to remain up to 85 percent as sunny weather will prevail on Sunday and Monday, September 8 and September 9. "Weak seasonal low lies over northern parts of Balochistan. A Shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country," the Met said.
In the next 24 hours isolated rain and wind-thunderstorm are expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Hazara, Kohat and Mirpurkhas Divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Hot and humid weather is likely elsewhere in the country.
In the past 24 hours hot and humid weather prevailed over the most parts of the country with scattered rain and wind-thunderstorm in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Malakand and Hazara Divisions, Kashmir and Islamabad.
Chakwal received maximum rainfall of 29 mm, M B Din and Mangla 24 mm, each, Islamabad Zero Point 22 mm, Dir 19 mm, Sargodha 15 mm, Kotli 13 mm, Gujrat 12 mm Saidpur 10 mm, Murree 9 mm, Jhelum 8 mm, Attock and Chaklala 7 mm, each. Highest temperature level was recorded in Turbat as 47 degrees Celsius, Dadu and Sukkur 45, each, Sibbi 44.
