A subcommittee of Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication (IT&T) in its meeting on Tuesday discussed the issue of payment of increase in pension of the retired employees of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) payable by the Pakistan Telecommunication Employees Trust (PTET).
The meeting was held with Senator Engineer Rukhsana Zuberi in the chair and was attended among others by Abdul Rehman Malik, Senior officers of Ministry IT&T, PTET and others, says a press release issued here. The convener of the subcommittee called for amicable solution of the issue in favour of the pensioners. The committee sought response by setting up a time frame of May 21, 2019 for the comments which it has shared with PTET to determine final conclusion. Rukhsana Zuberi observed that the PTET has enough resources and the pensioners need to be provided relief.-PR
