ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law and Justice Dr Muhammad Farogh Naseem has urged Prime Minister regarding reforms in criminal laws. A comprehensive document containing all the proposed amendments was sent by the Law Minister to the Prime Minister. The purpose of these amendments is to bring about a complete overhaul of the criminal justice system.
These laws include Code of Criminal Procedure, Pakistan Penal Code, Law of Evidence, Control of Narcotic Substances, Railways Act, Pakistan Prisoners Rules, Islamabad Capital Territory Criminal Prosecution Service and Islamabad Capital Territory Forensic Science Agency Act. Opinions were sought from all concerned departments regarding amendments to this laws.
