imageAMELIA ISLAND: The US Federal Reserve could raise rates twice this year but it depends on the underlying strength of the economy, Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart said on Tuesday.

Lockhart told reporters during a question and answer session in Florida that he had no firm view on raising rates in June but added that there is currently not enough evidence on US economic growth and firming inflation.

Brexit was also causing uncertainty for the United States, he said.
