imageBollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with ‘International Icon of the Year’ award at the Colors Stardust Awards while veteran actress Asha Parek was honoured with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the ceremony.

According to media reports, Bachchan was presented with the award by actress Raveena Tandon at the star-studded ceremony. Veteran actress Asha Parekh, known for films like ‘Teesri Manzil’ and ‘Kati Patang’, received the Lifetime Achievement award.

Small budget but big concept movies including ‘Highway’ and ‘Queen’ dominated the winners' list of searchlight awards. Movie ‘Queen’ won the ‘Best Film’ award while the film leading lady Kangana Ranaut won the ‘Best actress’ award. ‘Queen’ director Vikas Bahl and ‘Highway’ director Imtiaz Ali shared the ‘Best Director’ award. ‘Highway' actor Randeep Hooda was named 'Best Actor' along with co-star Alia Bhatt who was awarded 'Superstar of tomorrow'.

Farah Khan's big budget film ‘Happy New Year’ received the maximum awards including ‘Film of the Year’, ‘Dream Director’, ‘Star of The Year Male’ for Shahrukh Khan and ‘Star of the Year Female’ for Deepika Padukone. King Khan was also named Best Actor (Thriller category) for HNY.

The ‘star-studded award’ ceremony was co-hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Riteish Deshmukh along with Saif Ali Khan.
