imageBollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan said he was proud to get a mention in US President Barack Obama’s speech on gender and religious equality.

Barack Obama who has recently visited India, tried to impress the audience with his Hindi speaking skills. In a speech he charmed everyone by quoting Shahrukh Khan famous dialogue from ‘Dilwale Dulhania Ly Jayengy’.

According to Indian media reports, US President Barack Obama quoted in broken Hindi the famous line from Aditya Chopra’s ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, “Senorita, bade bade deshon mein.. or something like this. You know what I mean,” he said to a loud cheer at the Siri Fort auditorium.

He also thanked India for the hospitality on his and his wife’s behalf during their second visit to the country.

Shahrukh Khan, overwhelmed with the mention from the US President tweeted, “Proud to be part of the gender & religion equality speech of President Obama. Sad he couldn’t do the Bhangra, next time Chaiyya Chaiyya for sure”.
