PESHAWAR: Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaisar Wednesday said that dream of progress in a society cannot be materialized until and unless each and every member of existing social edifice should not join hands for the emancipation of downtrodden.
He was addressing a Qarz-e-Hasna distribution ceremony held at Jehangeera, Swabi wherein a total of 12.8 million rupees were distributed among 391 needy families under Akhuwat Foundation.
Member Provincial Assembly, Haji Rangraiz Khan and Chairman Akhuwat Foundation, Dr. Amjad was also present in the ceremony.
Speaker said that miseries and problems of poor that are part of our society could only be addressed if we as a community should strive for the welfare of those who are without resources to improve their condition.
He said that we must join hands for welfare of destitute and poor aiming development and prosperity of our society.
He said that a village would be constructed in Alamabad where students would be provided modern education and health facilities.
Asad Qaisar said that government is not oblivious of the problems of farmers adding federal government is working to address their long standing sense of deprivation and resolve problems confronted by them.
