TOBA TEK SINGH: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Wednesday said the PTI government would ensure merit, rule of law and supremacy of constitution in addition to dispensation of justice in the country.

Talking to newsmen at Foundation Hospital in tehsil Rajana, he said that accountability process would not stop in the country, adding that cases against corrupt elements were registered before the PTI government.

He said that law and order situation in the country was much better than before. The Governor said the government had taken measures for education and health sectors and people would soon see improvement in these sectors.

He said the PTI government was taking difficult decisions and a new era of development and progress would soon start in the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Ch Sarwar said the PTI government was transferring powers at grass roots level and bringing the best local bodies system, adding that 30 percent budget would be allocated for village councils for resolving the problems of people.

He said the PTI government was the first government which presented itself for accountability. The Governor said the PTI government had given a new life to textile industry by reducing gas tariff for this sector, adding this would help generate employment opportunity for people and enhance exports.

He said that work was in progress for provision of clean drinking water to people with fast pace across the province, adding that 18 filtration plants were being installed in Toba Tek Singh by Al-Khair foundation. He said that three plants in all constituencies of the district would be installed while in tehsil Rajana, a heavy capacity plant would be installed.

He said two vocational centers were being set up for imparting professional education to women, adding that courses of information technology, beauty parlor, computer and other different trades would be offered.

Earlier, the Governor Punjab went to different wards including out door, emergency, pharmacy and inspected the arrangement made for patients for their treatment and expressed his satisfaction.

He also inquired about the health of the patients.
