HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad based political leaders wished a successful tenure to the newly elected Prime Minister Imran Khan in their messages here on Saturday.

The General Secretary of Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) Ayaz Latif Palijo said Khan is the PM of whole Pakistan and, therefore, he should not limit himself to a certain province unlike the past PM.

"We hope that he will not repeat mistakes of the past prime ministers." He said Khan should set an example of good governance and take stern action against corruption.

Palijo expressed the hope that Khan would not tolerate foreign involvement in Pakistan's policy making and that he would form an independent foreign policy." The problems in Sindh's agriculture sector require attention of the rulers.

We hope Khan will do the due in this regard," he said. Sindh Taraqi Pasand party's leader Dr Qadir Magsi congratulated Khan saying his 22 years long political struggled borne fruit." The people have hopes from Khan," he observed, adding that the people look forward to him for doing away with the long lasting issues which the former rulers failed to resolve.

Magsi said the new PM should end the culture of nepotism and specifically focus on improving the quality of health and education services. The STP leader drew Khan's attention towards the issue of missing persons and asked him to take notice and ensure safe recovery of those people.

Pasban Pakistan's President Altaf Shakoor said the new government should consider merit over favouritism to establish system of good governance. He urged Khan to take efforts for release of Dr Afia Siddiqui from the captivity of the US.
