In this regard the hearing to consider the proposed adjustment is scheduled by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on April 28, 2021 (Wednesday).
As per details, NEPRA has approved an increase of Rs 0.83 per unit in electricity prices, but the increase will take effect after a notification is issued by the government.
The adjustments increases of Rs.0.2925/kWh and Rs.0.7696/kWh for the months of October 2020 and November 2020 respectively will be applicable to all the consumer categories except lifeline consumers of all the XWDISCOs, stated NEPRA.
