imageISLAMABAD: Parliamentarians belonging to Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Friday staged walkout of the National Assembly for not addressing their issues and the indifferent attitude of KPK governor.

Speaking on a Point of Order, FATA MNA Jamaluddin said that the lawmakers belonging to FATA were protesting for the last few days for pressing their demands. He alleged that the Governor KPK was not taking the FATA MNA into confidence in matter relating to the tribal areas.

He said that they have reservation but the government was not addressing it.

Speaking on a point order, PPP lawmaker Dr Azra Fazl said that FATA people always supported Pakistan. She alleged that KPK governor was utilizing developmental funds of FATA lawmakers. She said that Opposition would stage walkout of the against for not addressing FATA parliamentarians' grievances.Later, the Opposition staged walked out.

Maulana Amir Zaman of JUI-F said his party supports FATA lawmakers in their demands. He said terrorists were hanged while implementation on hanging of Saulat Mirza, a killer of many innocent people has been stopped.

He also alleged that MQM was using non-parliamentary language against JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Later, the JUI-F also staged walk out of the House. Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League (F) lawmaker Ghaus Bakhsh Mehr in his point of order explained that he never opposed setting up of miliary court in his speech during the session. He clarified that he had only suggested that world religion and sect should be omitted from the constitutional amendment bill.

He said that sugar cane growers in Sindh were facing immense problems and these should be resolved.

Asif Hasnain of MQM in point of order said that all sugar mills in Sindh have been closed and the growers were suffering a lot. He said that proper rate was not being paid to the cane growers resulting their miseries.

He urged federal government to intervene in the matter and resolve the issue.
