imageKARACHI: Two ships C.V CMA CGM Racine, and C.V MSC Positano, carrying Containers were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, berth # 5 and 9 respectively at Port Qasim on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Meanwhile another ships M.T New Naxos carrying 70,951 tonnes furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at 40% on Tuesday, where six ships namely C.V CMA CGM Racine, C.V MSC Positano, M.T Au Leo, M.T GSW Fabulous, M.T Exquisite and M.T King Duncan, were occupied at PQA berths to load/ offload Containers, Palm Oil, LNG and Furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 97,012 tonnes comprises 85,612 tonnes imports, and 11,400 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,400 Containers (TEUs) (1,303 imports and 928 exports TEUs) were handled at the port. Departures:

Oil tanker King Duncan' sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while two edible oil carrier 'Au Leo' and 'GSW Fabulous' and a container ship 'CMA CGM Racine' are expected to sall on same day (Today). Arrival Schedule:

Four ships C.V CMA CGM Cornel, C.V Maersk Atlanta, M.V Goeogioss and M.T Sichem Eagle carrying containers, Soya Bean Seeds and Palm Oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Grain & Fertilizer Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 24 June-2015. while C.V CMA CGM Corneilie carrying containers is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday, 25th June-2015.
