ISLAMABAD: Pakistan National Council of the Arts,(PNCA) Ministry of National Heritage and Integration has planned to organize a musical evening titled, "Gai Gee Dunya Geet Maire" in the memory of melodius queen Madam Noor Jehan on December28.
Renowned singers Saira Naseem, Gulshan Jahan will present famous songs of Madam Noorjahan and Saima Khushnood and NPAG will present dance over those songs to pay tribute to Noor Jehan.
The programme is being organized on 7pm at Dec 28 (Friday) here at PNCA Auditorium to pay glowing tributes to this most eminent vocalist figure of Pakistan.
PNCA Director General Tauqir Nasir, in reviewing the glorious life and career of Madame said, "Her iconic life and her songs rendered in films as well as during the 1965 war is etched forever live in the memory of the citizens, "Madam during her life and after earned tributes from the greatest vocalists of the world, including Music Director the late Ghulam Ahmad and Khurshid Anwar as well as from abroad including the great Lata Mangeshkar", he added.
