KOTLI: Azad Jammu Kashmir minister for Local government and Hydel Power generation, Ch. Yasin has said that under construction Neelam-Jhelum hydro power project will complete in 2016 and it will generate 969 Mega Watt electricity.
Speaking to a ceremony here the other day he said that this mega hydel project will also generate a huge annual income of Rs. 450 billion for federal and Rs. 20 billion for AJK governments.
The minister said the project will help to overcome energy shortfall in the country.
He said previous regimes of Pervez Musharaf and Nawaz Sharif were responsible for power outages.
Ch. Yasin said Pakistan Peoples Party government was making all out efforts to overcome energy crisis as it had included 3500 MW electricity in the national grid in four years.
"PPP government have launched many other power projects in the country", he added.
