art painting 400ISLAMABAD: A solo exhibition of paintings on rural imagery will be displayed here on September 1 at gallery 6 by artist Ali Abbas featuring nomadic people and their life in an artistic manner.

The show entitled "Wandering Colors" will highlight images on realism capturing minor details in strong lines and play of colors for art lovers of twin cities.

Ali Abbas is known as a visual anthropologist, who specializes in the life of people living on fringes. His work is a manifestation of in-depth observation and research on nomads in Sindh, especially women and children, that he presents using his visual vocabulary of bright colors against tones of black and wide open spaces, said curator of the gallery.

His magnificent brush work explains their world as a philosopher narrating an experiential tale, said curator of the gallery.

Dignifying the figures of nomadic people by art, he shows Nomads as classical models, people who are proud of their origins and their own culture, live in their natural environments and giving example of an alternative way of understanding the relationship between human beings and nature.

Ambassador of Mauritius, Mohammad Rashad Daureeawo will inaugurate the show that continues till September 14.
