fifty-shades-of-greyKARACHI: EL James’s novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” surpassed the last instalment of magical world series “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow” to become the best selling book in Britain.

Within four month of publication in book form experts say Fifty Shades of Grey is outselling Dan Brown’s “The Da Vinci Code” and JK Rowling’s “Harry Potter” books.

“It has sold 5.2 million copies to date in the UK and the final Harry Potter instalment, The Deathly Hallows, has sold 4.6 million,” said The Bookseller.

The erotic novel has been attracting many readers these days for its plot and subject. Where the romantic love stories have been feeding the minds of the readers all this long, EL James decided to change it with the erotica novel.

The book, even after four months topped the bestselling chart.
