KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port during last 24 hours, where four ships carrying containers, urea, chemical and diesel oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, FAP Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Sunday.

Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers, rice and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 65 percent at the Port on Monday where total number of seven ships namely MSC Ayala, Maersk Wyoming, Leo Pard-B, Ocean Prince, Star Masaya, Harsanadi and Al Salam-n are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, urea, chemicals and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 62708 tonnes, comprising 31062 tonnes imports and 31646 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1452 Containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
