Prime Minster Imran Khan on Monday launched Kamyab Jawan Programme, saying that Pakistan Tahreek Insaf (PTI) government is committed to uplift youth of the country. Addressing a Kamyab Jawan Program launching ceremony held at Governor's House during his day-long visit to Karachi, the prime minister said Pakistan has vibrant and highly talented youth that could put the country on the path of development.

During the ceremony, the primer distributed cheques amongst the applicants.

"Maintaining merit by government in sectioning loans to youngsters will make the programme a successful venture," Imran Khan said. He said government would ensure merit in the program, adding that nepotism had ruined country institutions. He said loans would be given to talented youth without any discrimination. He said that government is awarding scholarships of Rs 5 million under its ongoing Hunarmand Jawan Program which is the highest in the history of Pakistan.

He said the government is spending Rs 200 billion under its Ehsaas Programme for the development of marginalized segments of society. Special Advisor to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar also spoke on the occasion.
