NAB arrests accused in Rs 100 million corruption case

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB-Karachi)  has arrested Muhammad Yaseen Palijo, an Engineer in Town Committee,  Sujawal in corruption case.

A press release of the NAB said here on Monday that the accused  was arrested from Islamabad for his alleged involvement in embezzlement  of Rs 100 million development fund.

The accused allegedly prepared bogus register, bogus measurements  books (MBs) of Town Committee projects in connivance with dummy  contractors. They withdrew money mostly in cash from the bank account  of the Town Committee without doing any development work.

The accused would be produced before Accountability Court after  legal formalities.
