MANAMA: Bahrain's King Hamad on Saturday reshuffled his cabinet, changing the portfolios of five ministers, the official BNA news agency reported, the latest in a series of moves to appease protesters.

The move did not affect the position of the prime minister, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa, a target of the demonstrations.

The reshuffle also came as opposition leader Hassan Mashaima returned from self-imposed exile following a pardon by the king, amid fears by the Sunni rulers of regime-changing protests in the Arab world.
