United States Charge d'Affaires Ambassador Paul W Jones on Thursday called on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and regional security, Foreign Office said. During the meeting which held at the Foreign Office, it stated that the situation in Afghanistan and the ongoing peace process was focus of the discussion.
Speaking to Ambassador Jones, it stated that Foreign Minister Qureshi pointed out that regional peace and stability is linked with the restoration of peace in Afghanistan. He further said that Pakistan will continue to play its mediatory role for the restoration and peace and stability in Afghanistan.
