On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,234. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.312 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,641.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 2.098 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.274 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.168 billion, silver PKR 222.098 million, NSDQ100 PKR 159.189 million, SP500 PKR 124.257 million, DJ PKR 115.198 million, platinum PKR 79.632 million, copper PKR 50.477million, natural gas PKR 17.995 million and Brent crude oil PKR 1.630 million. In agricultural commodities, 39lots of cotton amounting to PKR 18.248 million were traded.
