The Finance and Planning Committee of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad the other day, has given nod to revised budget estimates of 3.442 billion rupees for the year 2015-16.
The meeting was held at New Syndicate Hall with Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan Vice Chancellor in the chair. The committee also approved the creation of new positions in senior tutor office with admissible fringe benefits. The committee, while keeping in view the financial hardships of the PhD students other than HEC awardees and not employed in any Project/Govt.
Institution also approved financial support "UAF PhD Research Grant Program". Under the program out of ORIC funds, a PhD student will be given a title of Research Fellow against a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month for maximum two years and one time Rs 0.1 million research support (consumable). The committee also endorsed the non-development statement of account of Rs 2.838 billion for the year 2014-15.
Professor Dr Muhammad Nisar Khan, Professor Dr Muhammad Asghar Bajwa, Professor Dr Tahira Iqbal, Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain Registrar, Amir Saeed Rana president ASA, and Umar Saeed Qadri Treasurer attended the meeting.
