A meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges met at Parliament House on Wednesday, under the Chairmanship of Chaudhry Asad-ur-Rehrnan, MNA to discuss the following agenda: The Question of Privilege raised by Mian Imtiaz Ahmed, MNA, regarding illegal raid by Sharafat Ali, Deputy Manager, SNGPL Rahim Yar Khan, on the Cotton Factory of the member.
The Question of Privilege raised by Naeerna Kishwar Khan, MNA, regarding handing over of the electric transformer to the local MPA instead to the Member by Syed Hassan Fazil, Chief Executive Officer, PESCO, Peshawar, Nadir Shah, Manager, Material Management (M.M), PESCO, Peshawar, Muzaffar Khan, S E Mardan and Altlaf, XEN-DIVISION Mardan-l. The Question of Privilege raised by Sher Akbar Khan, MNA, regarding indecent remarks made by Khaista Rahman, Deputy Commissioner, Buner with the Member.
The Question of Privilege raised by Ms Shahjehan, MNA, regarding misbehaviour of Shahid Nadeem Baloch, Ex-IGP, Sindh, Karachi with the Member. The Question of Privilege raised by Maulana Ameer Zaman, MNA, regarding misbehaviour of Border Military Police, at Raakhi Ghaaj Check Post, D G Khan, Local Police at Sakhi Sarwar, Check Post, D G Khan, Punjab and Policemen of Shaikh Yousuf Police Station, D I Khan, KPK, with the I-ton. Member and beating his driver as well as watching of licensed Kalashnikov from the Member.
Pertaining to agenda item-I, the Committee disposed off the Question of Privilege as the Mover Mian Imtiaz Ahmed, MNA was satisfied with the reply, given by the MD SNGPL. The Committee deferred the Question of Privilege raised by Naeema Kishwer Khan, MNA, till its next meeting with the direction to Chief Executive, PESCO to further inquire into the matter and submit its report to the Committee within one month.
Regarding Question of Privilege raised by Sher Akbar Khan, the DC Buner tendered an unconditional apology. However, the matter was deferred till its next meeting of the Committee. The Question of Privilege raised by Shahjeban, MNA, regarding misbehaviour of Shahid Nadeem Baloch, Ex-IGP Sindh, was taken up by the Committee. The Committee expressed un-satisfaction over an inappropriate language of the inquiry report presented by the Sindh Police. The issue, however, was deferred with the direction to further inquire into the matter with a report to the Committee.
On the Privilege Motion of Maulana Ameer Zaman, MNA, the committee pended the issue till its next meeting of the Committee.
